Sandy and her boys Zach and Jake worked in the space today scraping up the hateful glue and hauling the carpet to the dump. It is such nasty work but there is light at the end of this tunnel and it is most definitely not the train heading straight for us! We are all a little sore and a lot tired, but the blisters are starting to heal and the Advil does help. The weekend break will do us a world of good.
Ken and I ferried in a long table and folding chairs for our meeting in the space on Monday. We also brought in the mailbox. Right now it's sitting on the stoop but soon it'll get attached to the building with an old (of course!) decorative bracket from Sandy's house. Tearing down walls, painting the floor and walls, and building booth partitions is all next on the agenda - time for a big old fashioned work party! Come on now, who wants to be the first to sign up???
