Workday No. 18 "Pressure"

We're feeling the pressure of our deadlines, so once again it was another painting blitz at FOUND today! First order of the day - cut in, roll, then cut in some more and quick as you can, roll again. Rinse, lather, repeat...
wish it were that simple.

The morning and afternoon crew included Ken, Bill, Marnie, Eli Sandy, Pat and myself.

Pat installed the ceiling tiles in the purple floor room
and cleaned the squirrel poop out of the ceiling of Dan and Ellen's booth.
Two enormous and labor intensive jobs - thank you Pat.
It looks so nice.

In the vintage clothing room it was Sandy vs. Bertha.

We're pretty sure Sandy won the match but won't know for certain
until the test paint sample is done. More on this tomorrow!

The morning crew finished painting the vintage clothing room,
and dressing room,
and got Ken and Debra's booth looking mighty spiffy.
They also finished up the ceiling of the entryway hall.

In addition to painting, Bill built a very clever hinged door to hide the heater,

and later he removed the AC and patched the big hole left by its absence.
I found one last opportunity to sand something by volunteering to
mud the seams on Sandy's wall,
and tomorrow I get to sand it! Yippee!

The afternoon crew of Dan, Ellen and Dillon finished painting
the booth just on the other side of Ken and Debra's space,
and the outside wall of the purple floor room.
They also got started on their own booth. Ellen cut in,
while Dan wielded the roller.

When I write these posts I'm always so amazed at what we accomplish each day. It's so inspiring. Today I especially enjoyed having the company and assistance of Mr. Eli who constantly kept me entertained by his sweet singing and his most energetic painting style.

Please come back soon and thank you Eli!

Time to put the lid on the paint can, rinse out the brush and
get the fingernails clean enough to eat dinner.
Tomorrow we take on the BIG wall in the front space
and the walls of the quonset hut!
