Workday No. 12 "New List"

Turned out we celebrated the completion of the drywall a wee bit prematurely...

Tomorrow a new wall will be coming down in the front room
(behind the built-in shelves) and a "people" door
will get closed in as a result.

The header in Dan and Ellen's booth was raised about 14 inches todaywhich required... you got it, more destruction and more drywall installation.
We'll be done with all this demo stuff soon...I hope!

We had a very productive meeting this morning.
Floor and wall colors are chosen, and a final wall-prep punch list is ready to be posted. There are a LOT of details still left to do but we're on target to start painting the walls on Wednesday or Thursday!

Ellen was promoted from chief drywall sander,to apprentice drywall taper. She passed her first seam with flying colors!

Bill refined his mudding skillsand I inspected.

Our ever-faithful Zack Cozzarin hammered his 354th and final nail out a stack of 36 2x4's.
Phew! Thank you Zack!

Ken unraveled a snake's nest of wires on the back wall of the quonset hut
and managed to disconnect them without power outage or electrocution!

I've discovered drywall dust is most definitely not a beauty treatment,
but I'm still wondering if pink spackle can be used
as a facial mask...

We're really moving quickly these days and for good reason.
Soft opening is only 26 days away!
Stay tuned for more renovation mayhem and madness from the
crew at FOUND in Ithaca.
