Workday No. 23 "Superstitions"

No scary stuff at FOUND these days, just tons of positive energy, enthusiasm and good signs. We've recently taken note of the special "guests" we've had in our space which we think are signs of our very good fortune. There are chirping crickets in the purple floor room and a baby dragonfly has been spotted on the walls. He even perched on the rim of my laptop during our last meeting. Then there was the book incident. Seems Pat was tidying up a bit in Sandy's minivan and picked up some loose pages from a tattered dictionary. Guess what word was right there in front of god and everybody at the top of the page? FOUND! Now how cool is that. Good signs abound!

There was a lot of activity in the space today, maybe it was all the sugar, I don't know.

Eli was entertained by an Alvin and the Chipmunks

and later he was inspired to reenact selected scenes from the "Karate Kid"

and "Scooter Mania".

(Okay, so I made up that movie title, but it sounds
like it could be a real movie, right?)

I'm especially enjoying how his blue cast is shaping up!Go viola!

Sandy and Ellen worked hard at installing the extremely stubborn ceiling tiles,
while Dan and Bill built partitions for the back space
with the assistance of Bill's most clever homemade tool.
Sandy primed the partitions
while I "helped".We later painted them but no one was around to document
the event so you'll just have to trust me on this one.

Marnie, Eli and I primed the wood that will face the partitions and we also worked hard to tidy up the space in preparation for floor painting. Ken went on a shop vac expedition (twice) and eventually got to take it for a test run in the front space. Sweeping and mopping took place in the afternoon and tomorrow the real fun begins at 10:30am sharp.
